Does anyone know for sure why Phil Steele's Private Plays in the NFL aren't around so far this year?
Someone said that for personal reasons Phil doesn't want to be associated any more with the gambling aspect of his various newsletters, colllege and pro annual magazines, and just wants to be known as someone who knows a lot about football.
IMO,this is why you no longer hear him doing the comp. lines, and his name is no longer even mentioned in PowerSweep.
Perhaps I have answered my own question but just curious if anyone knows any more about this.
ps I am sure he is still the man behind the scenes making the final selections for the Late Phones, etc.
